Answer

A double linered tape is a Tranfer Tape or Double Coated Tape with a, on one side siliconised, release liner on both sides of the adhesive construction.

A double linered tape is generally used when the adhesive needs to be die-cut or converted prior to hand installation. Typical application includes membrane switch plates, nameplates, Graphic overlays, assembly aide or gasketing, artificial fingernails and decorative overlays.
Double linered products are often supplied in sheet form and are to be applied by hand.

In case of double linered, double coated products, the second liner requiers careful handeling to avoid delamination issues due to the memory of the carrier. Generally, it is often more econo-mical to add a second liner during the converting process as opposed to during manufacturing.
